We opened our doors on March 1, 1983, with a simple goal: to provide high-quality merchandise to local customers at the lowest possible prices. Forty-two years later, that commitment remains the same. We never offer anything for rent that we wouldn’t use in our own homes.
Economy Rentals has been proudly owned and operated by Rodger Poteet for over four decades. During that time, we’ve seen many rental stores come and go, but thanks to the loyalty of our customers, we continue to serve the community. Many of our customers have been with us for 42 years—and now, even their children and grandchildren rent from us.
We offer a wide selection of TVs, appliances, and furniture from several trusted brands. Our team compares prices weekly to ensure our rates stay low. We offer flexible weekly and monthly payment plans, and we handle all repairs during the rental period. No down payment is required beyond the first week’s or month’s rent, and delivery is always free—using our own trucks.
Economy Rentals is located at 901 Sahara Dr. NW in Cleveland, TN. Our 13,000-square-foot facility is easy to find—just one block off Keith Street, across from Tractor Supply.

Amazing friendly staff, good selection, reasonable prices and plans that are fairly affordable with almost every budget! They will work with you on payments when you’re needing extra time. I can attest it cause they’ve worked with us more than we’ve deserved! They’ve been a blessing to work with. Other rent to own companies can be slimy and a nightmare to do business with but not this team! My mom used them for years and now we do. What’s absolutely great about these people, nothing changes. They are still the same people, providing the same service. My family has been customers of there’s for 25 years. It is amazing to me, the owners cared enough, they have kept there doors open and have had them open for more than 40 years! BRAVO! WAY TO GO GUYS!!
I’m on q fixed income and i have chemo brain due to have had Carcinoma Cancer.
I had the monies put back to pay my monthly payment. I totally forgot and ended up spending the monies. When i got text from them. I ask them to work with me. And Stacy, owner did just that. In the past they always hit us up
Very polite staff… Very affordable on merchandise… With up to date and top of the line merchandise and appliances… A very positive shopping experience… They have some very nice fireplaces with with different fire schemes… As always they have up to date furniture and appliances and some very nice TV’s…
this place has been true to their word and helped me in so many ways! i set up auto pay and got a great riding mower for 30.00 after tax. i ve had no problem out of it and if i did they fixed it for me. im very happy with my purchase here and in less than 14 payments it will be paid for!! im one happy camper. i will continue to do business with them! thanks economy rentals for all your help.
I absolutely love this place only place I have ever rented from that stuff actually gets paid off and no fees added all the time and they work with me whenever I need it and I love the customer service as well it’s like when you walk in you feel at home and it’s just like family I love these guys
